Amy Winehouse had a style that most people wouldn't attempt. Equal parts retro, kitschy, pin- up and dramatic, her look was specific, but she avoided looking like she was in costume by mixing in modern elements and going casual every now and then. If you'd like to emulate her look without going over- the- top, just keep it simple. Choose a few pieces that are Amy-esque and stick to basics for the rest.
